Chapter 6

I was holding my skirt firmly as I ran across the hallway from the exit of the banquet hall. 

The only thing that matters for me is to do my revenge, to make them pay for what they've done in the past, but how could he act like that? What changed him? 

When I reached the hallway to the nearest entrance near the library, I saw Fara leaning against the wall and when her eyes found me, she immediately walk towards me. 

"Your Highness, the librarian already left and this place is already secured just like what you ordered." 

I removed my heels before entering the library. Fara was holding my heels before she locked the entrance door of the library.

I immediately walked towards the area where the history books of the Sylvestre are kept. 

My eyes landed on the bookshelves with the crest of the Imperial Palace, it's exactly the same as the past. 

This area has always been a secret one since these books are totally the most powerful weapon against the Empire. 

Fara followed my command of using the name of Hades to break the security inside the library. The librarian is such a strict old man in the past, without the order from Hades, he wouldn't even let me in even if I was the Crown Princess. 

It wasn't that difficult since Fara is a well-trained servant by Hades himself. 

Hades was the one who told me about these books in the past, from 1508 year to 1732 year of Sylvestre history. 

That the Empire wasn't name as Sylvestre because this Empire was a stolen one. 

I didn't regret listening to Hades about these histories. It was such a great honor to have this weapon, especially the crest and the signature of the late Emperor from 1507 year. 

I roamed my hand on the bookshelves until I found the book that I've been wanting to see, the 1507 history of Paradis Empire. It was the original name in honor of the true emperor who was killed by Duke Sylvestre and stole the Empire.

It was said that Emperor Paradis wasn't able to have a child that is why the history was forgotten, it was already stamp in the holy crest that Duke Sylvestre was more suitable as the Emperor.

Little did they know that the history was a lie, a stupid history to cover the true story of the Paradis becoming the Sylvestre Empire. 

Emperor Paradis had a child, Arthur Paradis. He was sent in the costal Valley where the mines are located to train himself. 

When the son was away, Emperor Paradis found out that the Empress had an affair with Duke Sylvestre. 

That's how it started. Emperor Paradis was about to execute the Empress and Duke Sylvestre but the Duke was able to start a rebellion that caused the Emperor of ending his life. 

Duke Sylvestre had the throne and Arthur wasn't able to go back inside the palace. No one knows where he is, it was said that he died, but I don't believe it. 

I saw the last will with the stamped signature of Emperor Paradis, I can still see the whole sentence written inside the will. 

With this, the Sylvestre's rein will end. 

"Fara, you can have this." I gave her the book together with the will being kept inside. 

"I want you to take this inside my room and hide it under my bed," I ordered. 

"Do you trust me with this your Highness? I think this is very important to you," she said with doubt in her eyes. 

I chuckled and wore my heels. "I'm not stupid Fara, I don't trust easily so when I gave you something important to me, it's an answer that I trust you. Just remember the rule number two Fara, don't be too at ease."

I can see her mouth trembled for a bit before she bowed. "My loyalty is all yours, your Highness."

We left the library and quickly walked back towards the exit of the palace where the library is located. 

Fara went at the back where the second exit is located. 

I was about to open the door when my eyes landed on the man leaning against the exit door. He was carefully crossing his arms while looking straight on my direction. 

"Pursues? What are you doing here?" I asked. 

His lips parted before he walked towards me. I flinched for a bit when his hands touched my cheeks before caressing it. 

"You've finished your sneaky project?" he asked. 

I avoided my eyes before I scoffed. "It's not what you think," I answered. 

He chuckled before he held my left hand and gave it a peck of kiss. His eyes were on me as if he was waiting for my reaction. 

"Pursues—"

"Oh my, is that you your Highness?" 

I felt how my body stunned when I heard the voice of Madolina, that sweet irritating voice I've been wanting to crushed. 

When my head turned in her direction, I saw how she chuckled before giving me a slight bow. 

"What a coincidence to see you here your Highness," she said and moved her eyes beside me where Pursues is standing. 

In the past, I always adore her since she had this aura of a cute little kitten. Little did I know that the woman I thought was just an innocent lady is a snake who was been waiting to bite me. 

I guess, my reborn was really they called the truth in three different stories. 

"Am I disturbing your time with the uhm...wait, is that the second Prince?" she says acting like she was shocked. 

Pursues seems to not bothered by her since he was still holding my hand. I tried to break away from his hold but the more I move, the more he's gripping it hard. 

"Guess I should leave the two of you, I have a schedule with the Crown Prince. His Highness wouldn't want me to be late," she said making my eyebrows furrowed. 

"Who are you?" I asked. 

"Excuse me?" Her smile disappeared as if she heard something that didn't satisfy her ears. 

"Are you deaf? I am asking who you are." 

I saw how her lips moved before she bowed hysterically. "I am Madolina Selesté your Highness, I am the second daughter—"

"I'm not asking for your name lady, I am asking about who you are to speak so casually as if we're close enough? You, do you even know what sort of place you're standing? You're lower than me," I said with full of authority. 

Of course I know who you are, Madolina Selesté is one of the beauty among the noble ladies in the past. 

I was always compared to her since I was always busy achieving my goal in helping Hades to gain his power, I didn't had the time to take care of myself. 

I was compared that Madolina has a soft and warm hearts towards the other people while me? I was always left out, I was the lady with a bad reputation. 

Her head remained down but I can see her hands trembling while playing her fingers. 

I want to burst a laugh but I can't, because I'm not that stupid to let her see how happy I am. 

I want her to remain as a snake so that I can easily poison her with her own tongue. 

"You said that you have your schedule meeting together with his Highness?" I asked. 

"Y-Yes your Highness," she answered with stutter. 

"Oh, that's really unexpected." Pursues was looking at me when I moved my body near the door. 

"Be careful with what you're thinking inside your head Lady Madolina, Selesté noble is just a small family so it's really easy to pulverize them. I am not as bad as you think, but I am not good either since I wasn't born as an angel," I said. 

I didn't wait for her response. I opened the door and broke from Pursues hold, I still need to finish my business.

"See you later your Highness," I whispered.

It's already midnight when I decided to check the book under my bed and grinned when I saw the book. Fara seems to understand my intention, that would be good. 

She must be my ally and I'll do the rest to succeed. 

I opened my closet and took the small chest I've been keeping since I arrived inside the palace. 

I opened it using the key and put the will inside the chest. I was about to close the chest when suddenly a folded paper fell from the book, it was a torn folded paper. 

When I opened it, I felt how my heart pounded with happiness. 

It was written inside the paper that Arthur was last seen in Viadel, the location was written and date when Arthur was last seen. 

'June 16, 1507'

It's the day before Emperor Paradis died. I flipped every pages of the book but I found nothing. 

Who? Who wrote this? 

My eyes moved on the will's penmanship and stunned realizing that it's exactly the same. 

Why would Emperor Paradis wrote this? Did he really sent Arthur to train? 

"Fara," I called. 

The door opened with Fara entering my room. "Yes, your Highness?"

I massaged my temple before I gave her the small paper. 

"Do you know where that place is?" I asked. 

She nodded making me smile for a bit. "Fara, do you know why I chose you?" I closed the chest before moving my eyes in her direction. 

"No, your Highness." 

I chuckled, such a straightforward answer. 

"People who doesn't like showing their emotions are well-known to be a cold-hearted person, those servants are the same. The difference is that they were trained to be that kind of person, they were forced to act like that until they got to see their selves as an emotionless person, but you're different." I paused and let out a smile when I saw how her eyes beamed hearing what I said. 

"You're different because even if you were trained to be like that, to lose your emotion for your job, you didn't forget your humanity. You still have your heart and I can say that I'm impressed, since you chose me. You chose the right person Fara," I said with a smile filled with proud and happiness. 

I stunned when she suddenly bended her knees and gripped my hands. "I will never betray you your Highness, I will offer you my life until I got to see the fruit of your success." 

Oh, Fara...you never fail to disappoint me. 

"Please take care of me," I said caressing her hair. 

I regret that I didn't met her in the past, it was a pity that I never had the chance to see what kind of person she is. 

But it's fine raising a wolf instead of a dog, that won't be a problem since this is getting interesting.
