Lewis's face fell. He had not expected the divine doctor to be Henry.

He had even hoped to become his lackey.

That was extremely humiliating for Lewis, especially because he had purposefully taken false credit for Henry's accomplishments and used it to mock and undermine him.

He wished he could disappear as soon as he saw Sarah's gaze.

Lydia almost trusted Henry completely at that point, especially since Henry's teacher was the renowned divine doctor mentioned by her grandfather. Even though she did not believe in so-called divine doctors and preferred modern instruments, the old divine doctor might have taught unique remedies that could cure various complex and rare diseases.

"I had misunderstood you, Henry. I'm sorry." Lydia apologized. Even though she disliked Henry, she made a mistake.

Henry was stunned. He shook his head and said, "We are married. A small misunderstanding between us doesn't warrant an apology."
