Solana's POV

I stayed up all night reviewing the contract, so as I drove to Alton's company, I realized I hadn't gotten enough sleep.

Upon arriving, I made my way to his office, feeling the fatigue weighing me down.

The secretary informed me that I could enter, but I politely knocked on Alton's door before opening it slowly.

As I stepped inside, I saw Alton sitting in his swivel chair, his gaze fixed on me.

My heart pounded loudly in my chest as I approached his desk.

Coming to a stop in front of him, I placed the document on his desk and cleared my throat before speaking.

"I haven't signed it yet, Alton," I informed him. Upon hearing this, his forehead furrowed with confusion.

Alton took the document and checked for my signature, but when he couldn't find it, he looked at me puzzled.

"Why? What's wrong with the contract? Do you want to make changes?" he asked.

I took a deep breath, meeting his gaze directly.

"You don't have to pay me, Alton. As I told you, this will serve as payment
