I could feel Alton throwing glances my way, but I forcefully avoided him and decided to focus all my attention on my food.

I didn't want them to see me looking at him.

Throughout the whole lunch, they kept talking about random things, and I sometimes joined in, while Alton remained quiet the whole time.
