Solana's POV

Days went by with the same routine that I have, and I thought it would end the same. However, I was wrong because upon closing my store and stepping out of A&S Mall, I saw Alton standing outside, leaning on his car with his hands in his pockets.

I ignored him and walked towards my car, but he called me, and when I didn't look at him, he held my hand and made me face him.

I stopped walking and faced him with a raised eyebrow.

"Do you need anything?" I asked, and when he heard that, he held his chest as if my words had hurt him.

"You are hurting me, Love," he said, which made my furrowed brow crease even more.

I removed his hold on my hand and looked at him intently.

"Do you need anything?" I repeated, raising my eyebrows as I waited for his answer.

Alton shook his head and then smiled at me.

"Nothing. I just want to see you," he said, locking gaze with me.

I felt my heart beating erratically in my chest once again. I did my best to act like I was not affected by his words
