Chapter 109

Solana's POV

When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was Alton's chest.

Lifting my head, I noticed Alton sleeping peacefully, his arms wrapped around my waist. I wanted to push him away, but I felt guilty because he seemed peaceful and tired.

I contented myself by staring at his face, but my eyes widened when he opened his eyes. I immediately pushed him away, and he fell on the bed.

"Shit!" he cursed, glaring at me while massaging his back.

"Why did you do that?" he asked, looking at me with furrowed eyebrows and a pained expression.

"Is someone there?!"

Panic surged through me as I heard Kris' voice. I looked at Alton, but he seemed unfazed.

"Kris is here," I said.

"So?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Hide under the bed," I said in a panic, attempting to push him under, but he refused. Before I could hide him, the door swung open, revealing Kris.

Kris rolled her eyes at the sight of us and put down the ladle she was holding.
