"I'm coming to pick you up. Tell me where you are," I was lost at voice when I heard what he said.

Trish, Drew and Carl were staring at me, curiously. I signalled them to wait.

"Um..." I tried to come up with a good excuse. "NO! I mean, I...uh... I can come back on my own, by taking a lift or I can ask--"
