It had been more than a month since Chief West's birthday party. More than a month since he last saw his curvy beauty.

He wondered if he had affected her that night. He wondered if she thought of him the way he thought of her. He knew he was rich and attractive and could get any woman he wanted, but from the look of things, he knew that getting this particular girl would require more work than with other women he had had. Though she seemed to like him that night but he wasn't sure because he didn't get to spend much time with her, thanks to her stepmother and sisters.

He paused. But what did he really want from her? To have a one night stand with her, get her out of his system and forget about her? Or to keep her for a little while longer than he kept the other women he had had.
