I pushed myself off of the ground, feeling the dirt sticking to my face. I couldn’t deny the fact that I felt rather humiliated, but there was nothing that I could do about it. It was too late for me now, for I had been the one who had decided to go forth with this. If I had had a problem with it, then I would have needed to go ahead and do something about it when Elijah had mentioned all of this.

Despite the fact that the rest of his pack seemed to be on the same level that I was, I was willing to admit that I was not even remotely close to being on the same level as Elijah.
