34: Sick Monster

My consciousness slowly clawed its way out of the murky depths of sleep, the unfamiliar ceiling of the alpha's mansion loomed overhead, casting a disorienting haze over my senses. For a fleeting moment, a glimmer of hope danced in the recesses of my mind, whispering that perhaps it had all been a nightmare, and I would awaken snug and secure in the familiar confines of my cozy apartment in the human world.

But reality cruelly asserted itself as I blinked away the remnants of sleep, the opulent surroundings of the alpha's mansion confirming that I was indeed still entrenched in the supernatural realm. That I foolishly came back to be with my parents only to see them for less than thirty minutes and they disowned me in those minutes.

Ah, way before that, I was blessed (heavy sarcasm on the word blessed) with a second chance mate who loathes me and is making me hate him more than he does me.
