Author’s POVIsla mumbled some incoherent words under her breath as she dusted off her dress. The hot herb soup she had prepared poured on her and she couldn’t resist the painful yell. Ronan’s POVI yawned tiredly as I buttoned up my shirt. I didn’t get much sleep all through the night. The doctor wasn’t clear on the number of times Fiona would need to drink water before morning. If I didn’t miscount, I was up five different times to give her water. However, as tired as I might seem, I feel glad that I could be there for her. “You did an all night, can you at least take an hour break before attending the council meeting?” Freya said behind me in a worried tone. Author’s POV Callum sat still with his gaze fixed on the wall, many thoughts kept roaming his head. He saw that look and he recognized it. It is the same one his brother had that made Callum hasten his decision. He should have done a counterattack the minute he had the chance to. Waiting this long will cost him a lot. One of the elders that had followed him back home noisily cleared his throat. Callum sighed tiredly. “Do you have something to say, Elder James?” Elder James hummed in response. “I do have something to say and I believe I speak for all of us here when I say your nephew's attitude today was outrageous. Our families have been known to survive with these taxes. He can’t just wake up one day and deprive us of it.” “Did something happen that we are unaware of? Fiona’s POVI stared at the door longingly feeling guilty and needy at the same time. I know it is wrong to crave his presence this much when I know the situation he is in. Ronan’s POV Fiona seems to have overestimated her strength. We didn’t even get to run half of the woods before she started whining about her leg. Author’s POV“Let me do it, my lady, please.” The maid begged Celine on her knees. The others joined in too. Celine threw her head to the back feeling burdened all over again. No matter how hard she tries to keep Callum's monstrous side away from everyone in the house. His attitude towards her eventually pushes her to start acting mean to the poor maids and her own children. This morning he requested a meal whose ingredients are hard to find. Two of the guards set out to find it as fast as they could and returned about two hours later. Callum refused the meal and eventually pummeled Celine for bringing it too late to him.
