Callum grinned devilishly as he read through the letter in his hand. He knew Freya was going to come back to him. At first, he had doubted the chance of her responding to him because of how long it took. But then he had to remind himself the kind of person she is. He has seen it many times and for someone like Freya, it is only a matter of time for her to get triggered by a situation.

“Today looks like it would be a good one.” He mumbled to himself as he folded the letter into his pocket.

Celine stood by the doorway of the study staring intently at Callum. She can’t seem to wish him well in any way. Every time she sets her eyes on him, different emotions come into play. However, she feels cursed to be dedicated to her obligations towards him. Whether he wants to be cared for by her or not, Celine is subjected to playing her part.

“Is there something you want to say? Quit standing by the door and speak.” He bickered not raising his head at her.
