Ronan’s POV

My eyes refuse to stay closed even though I am feeling sleepy. I glanced at my side to see Freya sleeping peacefully. She looks so beautiful and innocent. My finger trailed her soft flawless face. It feels like a long time since I got this close to her. My heart thumped slowly. There isn’t much of the spark that comes to me whenever I stare at her like this.

I believe it's because we haven’t had much time spent together. Worry lines perch on her forehead and I almost feel guilty for it. She chewed on her empty mouth like a child and it made me smile. Leaning forward I placed a kiss on her forehead attempting to turn away. Instead, she wrapped her arm around me, placing her head on my chest. I chuckled, kissing her again. She is obviously not deeply asleep.
