“The man always comes to save me, it's the reason I am always with that man. Do not blame me, I am not even safe in my own family's house”

“I told you, Daddy, I told you that she is now with that man. He comes to drop her home and also pick her up at work,” Melissa said and Melinda smirked,

“Who knows if she is not sleeping with him to get a free ride and free food,”

“That's not a question. We all know that she is her mother's daughter,” Aunty Claire said glaring at me. I only chuckled at her words before saying,

“Ah, now I can see where Melinda got her special abilities from,” I winked at Melissa. The idiot doesn't know that I know her dirty secret that I wasn't sure her family knew about.

“What's that supposed to mean?!?” Both mother and daughter attacked me and I raised my hands slightly,

“What can I say? It's only natural to learn new things from our elders. My aunt just told me that it was ‘like mother like daughter’ so I decided to use the phrase. Did I do something wrong?”
