The time I went back inside the house, the entire family was staring at me like I was a ghost. They didn't say a word to me but continued to look at me,

“I warned you not to open the door for him” I shrugged before walking away to my room.

I needed a nice bath and some sleep. I stood outside the room with my hand on the handle of the door. I know Anna well enough to know that she will not stop asking questions about Mr Lance.

Taking a deep breath, I finally walked into the room to see Anna sitting on the bed with her eyes fixed on me. She was clearly waiting for me to get back so she could bombard me with questions.

“Who is he to you, J? Is he your boyfriend?” She asked and I screamed immediately,

“No!” She raised her brows and I sighed,

“No, no, he is not”

“But he likes you,” she said to me and I shifted my gaze elsewhere. Mr. Lance did all these on purpose.

“Anna, let's forget about Mr. Lance. I'll just go and have my bath. Have you eaten? I'm quite hungry,”
