Chapter Forty Nine

~LYDIA~

I couldn't go back to my cottage last night, how can I sleep knowing fully well my daughter is suffering outside. Jake is so heartless guilty leaving my daughter out there in the rain all through last night, he didn't even have a change of mind.

It hurts me more that I can't even do anything to help her, the door was tightly locked although I tried opening it. I couldn't control my tears as I wailed all night.

I sprang on the sitting room floor with a heavy heart and heavy eyes because I had no sleep last night. I was only weeping. I imagined how the rain fell on my daughter throughout last night and how lonely and scared she might be.

At the sunrise, I swung up curiously wanting to know my daughter's condition right now. She must have caught a cold. I pray she's okay.

It is done raining, I scuttle to the door once again. That's what I did all night, but the thing is that I can't open the door. I don't know why Jake is doing this, he is such a monster.
