Chapter Seventy Five

I slowly open my eyes, though my head still hurts a little. I blinked my eyes thrice just to be sure I'm not dreaming. Jake was smiling at me and he looked unharmed. What happened, how did he get out of the cage and how did I end up here? I can only remember the cup falling down my hand and darkness clouded me.

"You are awake." I heard a familiar voice and I froze at the moment. Am I hallucinating or what, did I hear right? I turn towards the direction of the voice, my eyes nearly pop out as I was shocked to see mum standing before me with a baby in her arm.

I think I'm dreaming, this can't be true. I looked around the room and there was Amber and a middle aged woman who looked unfamiliar.

"You are not dreaming my child, it's the reality. It's me your mother, I'm alive I didn't die." mum mutters and I was thrown into more confusion.

I can't explain what is going on, how did mum survive, because I saw the building flame up. I touched my stomach, but couldn't feel anything.
