Chapter 19

Caren’s POV

I went upstairs after breakfast with my mom, Lottie, and Maddox. I was really upset at the thought of Lottie moving away. We have always been there for each other. What would I do without her, while I am stuck here with our mom? I mean, I love her, but to be stuck with her and no one else. I may go crazy.

I walked over to my dresser to get ready for my day. After all, it is the day before my birthday. Out of nowhere, I started with the worst headache I have ever had in my life. It felt like my head was about to explode. I clenched my teeth because of the pain. The pain was so severe I couldn’t even yell. I put my hands to my head, trying to heal the ache a little, which has worked occasionally on smaller migraines in the past.

When the pain eased a touch, I opened my eyes. I saw my reflection in the dresser mirror. It was the same as always, but my eyes. My eyes are green, but right now they are glowing green. I leaned on the dresser top, pushing my face clo
