Maddox’s POV

I was outside, talking to Alpha Hudson about Beta Celeb. I have a few questions and all I really know is what the Beta’s daughter told Parker. But this information is not fact and an Alpha needs evidence and facts, not gossip or opinions! What is a fact, though, is what the border patrol did to Millie. That I saw with my own eyes and I didn’t like what I saw.

Alpha Hudson tells me that Beta Celeb has never given him any reason not to trust him. He has been loyal to him for the entire duration that he has been his Beta. He has taken care of the pack when he has not been at his best and he has the best interest of the pack at heart. When the pack’s population was declining, he managed to bring together about 100 warriors and their families.

I look at Alpha Hudson, processing what he has just said. Every time I have encountered Beta Celeb, he has actually tried to fulfill his Beta role. Covering up for him when he was not at his best. Not involving the Wolf C
