Chapter 28

Lottie’s POV

What a day, I think to myself. Not only did my sister fly off to who knows where? But I met a girl in blue, got myself kidnapped, watched my mom nearly be beaten to death, killed two men and discovered I had a real father. Now I find out my sister has an elemental gift and to top it all off, it’s still her birthday. “Crap,” I say out loud. suddenly realizing it is still my sister's birthday, her 18th birthday, and we have not done anything to help her celebrate it.

I grabbed her and started jumping around like a lunatic singing happy birthday to her. She just laughs at me. “You have no idea what happened to me, Lottie,” she tells me with a smile on her face. “You have no idea what happened to me either.” I respond with a sad face. But right now, I am just happy I have my family home, where we are all safe.

“Let’s go and have a catch-up sis.” I told my older sister.

“Then we need to celebrate the birth of this beauty” she says, laughing and pointing at herself.
