“Of course, I will always be here for you. Is this what you meant by your past?”

Veronica looked down ashamed and nodded. Luis put his fingers under her chin and lifted her face to look at him.

“Baby you don’t need to be ashamed or embarrassed of that. You did nothing wrong. And I would never love you any less because of something like that.”

“That whole situation is why I started training with Gavin and why I am the way I am.”

“Good.” Luis says with a smirk. “Let’s go show that fucker who you are.”

Veronica smiles and nods. “We need to check on everyone first though.”

“Yes, of course love. I’ll be behind you all the way.”

“NO. I want you beside me. Let’s do this together.”

Veronica puts on some shoes and they walk out of the room back to the dining room. Everyone is okay. No bullet holes, just scratches.
