Chapter 49

Gavin pulls over down a dark gravel road and everyone gets out of the car. Hector grabs the files and before they know what is happening Gavin drives off back the direction they were traveling.

Veronica’s phone rings and it is Gavin. “Just listen Donna. Go 5 miles north. You’ll see a cabin completely off the grid. You’ll need the satellite phone in the box. I’ll find you once I lose these assholes and get a clean car.”

“You better come back to me.”

“Yes, Donna.” With that Gavin hangs up.

“We need to go 5 miles north and there will be cabin. We need to stay off the road though.” Veronica says.

“What’s going on?”

Veronica looks at Hector with concern. “I mean no offense to this but do you trust Hector completely?”
