Liam P.O.V. It’s been three weeks since the day with brunch, and mom and the other’s have been harassing Maddie with all sorts of questions about the Luna ceremony. Maddison P.O.V.“Guys, you don’t have to follow me to the kitchen. What should happen to me on that short little walk?” I ask with a laugh, while we are descending the stairs to get to the kitchen. I am beyond livid and it took everything in me to not kill all of them. I wanted to follow the last couple, the Sanders, and make an example out of them, but my Maddie stopped me. Maddison P.O.V. Standing in the finished ballroom, I have to take a deep breath so I do not faint from the nerves. The room is absolutely gleaming with splendor. Clara was right - Cianna does not know how to go small. She came to us about two weeks back and asked if it was okay if she invited Alphas and Lunas from the nearby pack - as a sign of peace and friendship. Liam P.O.V.I told Richard we would speak more in the morning, but right now Maddie needs me. As soon as we came back to our room, she completely broke down. She blamed herself for not freeing her teacher and confidant, but I kept telling her it’s not her fault. We all thought Azlela was dead. Maddison P.O.V.Breakfast goes without a hitch. The family is gathered, which is always a pleasant and loud affair - I am learning. Everyone teases everyone, and the sassy remarks fly though the room. The only time the atmosphere wasn’t loud, was when Liam told everyone what happened at the meeting this morning. Cianna and the other moms were beside themselves with anger over the audacity of Rick and Jessica. Logan contemplated if we could attack Iron Mountain and free Azlela, but he quickly changed his mind, when the consequence of that dawned on him. “A better way to go about this, if you don’t mind, Liam?” Killian says, looking at Liam and me. Liam P.O.V. The day goes by fairly quickly after breakfast. We gather in the living room, closing the doors, so we can be alone and they can make sure I do not sneak out to see Maddie. I really want to just go up there to see her, hug her and kiss her. It pains me to be away from her, especially when I have to be. I know she is well looked after, and the people we hired for their spa treatments, and makeovers are seriously pros, and supernatural. They know the order of a pack, and we made sure they knew who they were pampering today. They will show her the respect she deserves, and I invited them to the ceremony tonight as a thanks for coming on a weekend day. They are all part of one of our allies, and all said yes to stay for tonight. I know this is what Maddie would have suggested had she known, which is why I did it. I want my girl to be happy, comfortable and surrounded by love! Speaking about being surrounded by love, I hope my little surprise with her brother makes her happy.

Maddison P.O.V.Everyone is dancing, laughing and enjoying themselves. I’m sitting at the table, resting my sore feet and looking at my fiancé dancing with his sister. They look really happy, and I can’t quite keep the smile off my face. The fact that Liam proposed to me still has me kind of shocked. The ring is absolutely huge and gorgeous, and even though I don’t really care how much it cost or how big it is, I am still very impressed with it. And with him. He did it perfectly. I still have to kick his ass for hiding my brother for a day, and proposing in front of the entire pack and guests, but I can’t fault him for either. The evening was even more perfect than I had ever imagined. The thought pulls me in and I lose myself in memories and thoughts. Because what I could picture in the cold dark nights in my cave, was far from the truth.
