I twitched, frowning at the memories that I tried so hard to suppress, coming back to me. It shocked my brain and my heart, at how quickly and vivid my memories were.

It was the fuel for my nightmares, something that has kept me up all night, ever since I ran away from my birth pack. The night my whole life changed.

Back in Dark Fur Pack, even with how fed up I was already about them, I was burdened by the weight of accusations as well. I was allegedly accused of murdering a human, during my final days in the pack. I could remember how it all played through, as if it was yesterday.

Pack members trooped into my apartment, forcefully letting themselves in. In my startled state, I questioned what they were doing, only for me to get dragged roughly by some hefty guards. I was taken to the Alpha’s pack house for execution and trial and it was the darkest time and place residing in my mind.
