Frederick ignored Vivianne's look of shock. He concentrated fully on the sensations coming from the four golden threads.

Suddenly, he pulled the threads back toward him and walked toward the four patients.

He took out a leather bag seemingly out of nowhere and spread it open gently. There were almost 100 needles arranged neatly in the bag, and all of them were of different sizes.
