Chapter 10

"NO TREVOR!" I screamed when he repeatedly hit Robbie without caring what part of his body he punched.

The latter's back was on his car and Trevor was holding his collar to steady him.

All I could do was holler their names alternately. Unfortunately no one except for the three of us were outside. There was no one to ask helped from. My screams were only driving my ex to hit Robbie harder.

"Oh my God!" I cried when I saw blood.

I didn't know from which part of Robbie's body it was coming from. I just closed my eyes then weakly leaned my back against Trevor's car with my hands on my face. I didn't want to witness what was happening any longer. I didn't realize that I was crying quietly from fear and frustration. Fear from Trevor's rage and frustration because I couldn't do anything to stop him. My body trembled as I continuously cried. I couldn't help hearing Robbie's sound of pain and Trevor's fists hitting his body.

"Please stop Trevor!" I sobbed.

I couldn't help opening my eyes when I heard Robbie whimpered as Trevor raged at him. I sucked some air when I saw him kicked Alice's cousin on his side. Robbie was on the ground looking almost unconscious.

"I told you to stay away from her! You son of a b*tch! Next time I will really finish you off!"

Pity for Robbie washed over me so I started to walk towards him to help him.

"Rob..." I called him.

His back was on me and he was whimpering in pain.

"Oh no you don't!" Trevor said through gritted teeth as he grabbed my arm and dragged me to the passenger side of his car.

"No...please...I have to help him..."

He furiously opened the door and shoved me inside.

" You want me to finish him off now?!" he asked through clenched teeth.

I shook my head repeatedly as I stared at him with my eyes wide. I was clutching my bag in front of me as if it could protect me.

"Next time you go with him, I will dispatch him!" he threatened in a very cold voice before closing the door.

I inhaled and exhaled slowly as I closed my eyes for a second or two. I had to calm down and think. Robbie was right, Trevor was dangerous. I unshut my eyes and looked to my left. I saw him pulled Robbie up by his collar and leaned his back on the car. He seemed to be saying something while he held him by his collar. Then he opened the door of the black car and pushed him inside then slammed the door. I quickly removed my eyes from the window and looked in front of me, I didn't turn to him when he finally slid in. I was afraid he would see the great fear in my eyes.

He started the engine and before the car moved he ordered, "Put your seat belt on!"

I buckled up without looking at him. I knew I would give my feelings away once I see his angry face.

I needed to think of the right words to tell him. It might be a long shot but I would have to really talk to him so things between us wouldn't be this messy. We couldn't work together if he was like this.

I frowned when I felt that the car picked up speed. He was driving a sports car and I couldn't believe that he would drive this fast because he was angry. I looked at his right profile. He had a hard expression and his hands were gripping the wheel.

"Slow down..!" I couldn't hide the panic in my voice and face.

He didn't react instead, he stepped on the accelerator harder. My hands went to my chest.

I closed my eyes while murmuring..."Please...please..."

I began to cry in fear and started to pray silently.

(Trevor)

I was seeing red. I waited for a long time in front of her apartment. I told myself that it would be the last time I would let her go without me knowing where she was. I was going crazy imagining what she and that a*shole were doing and where they were. She might have tried to keep a poker face but I knew how she felt when she saw me with Lolla. Christina had a very strong personality and was used to doing what she liked. She had become braver when she lost her parents. I was scared to death knowing that she could be thinking of getting back at me with Alice's cousin since she was jealous of Lolla. While waiting for them I had images in my mind of the very bad things I would do to that trash she was with. That bastard was still lucky I left him alive. But if he won't steer clear of Christina, he won't be lucky next time. I gripped the wheel when I heard her plea but I ignored her. I pressed on the accelerator harder.

"Honey please..." I heard her say and my forehead creased.

I shot her a glance. Her face was on her hands and she was shaking. I cursed. Due to my anger, I was unaware of how afraid she was. She didn't seem to have recovered from what she had seen while I was beating Alice's cousin and now I frightened her with my driving. I slowed down. I felt like an a*shiole. I almost forgot that her parents died from a vehicular accident. I decided to pull over.

(Christina)

"Honey please....please slow down..." I repeatedly begged.

I wasn't aware that I used his endearment for me. I was sobbing with my hands covering my face, I didn't know how long I had been in that position. I felt his arms went around me and he unbuckled my seat belt. My face was on his chest as I kept on crying. My sobs became louder when he embraced me.

"I'm sorry, honey...I'm sorry.." he murmured against the top of my head.

His embrace was tight. My hands were balled and they were on his chest. Strangely, I felt safe being this close to him. At last I hugged him back. I felt him took a deep breath then he kissed the top of my head. He was saying something but I couldn't understand any word. We stayed like that until my sobs subsided.

I removed my arms around him and murmured, "I'm okay now."

He didn't loosen his embrace but I pushed his chest from me. He reluctantly freed me after a while.

"Sorry..."

"I'm sorry."

We both spoke at the same time.

I wanted to apologize because I didn't expect that my tears would fall hard when he comforted me.

"I'm sorry for making your shirt wet," I murmured in a small voice without looking at him.

My eyes were on my hands on my lap. I felt him straightened and relaxed his back against the seat, I turned to look at him. He combed his hair with his fingers before he turned to look at me too. I couldn't read his facial expression.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have driven that fast." he said in a gentle voice. He sounded so sincere and sorry which left me speechless.

He sounded like my old Trevor.
