Chapter 3

Episode 3

Louis

She was still passed out, her mouth tied shut and her eyes lids closed, her hair hovering on her face slowly, I straightened my hand towards her face but retreated it, My wolf was begging to claim her, I took in deep breath to calm myself.

last night, when we met I felt something shift in me, I was sure what it what, it happened eight years ago in the morning of me picking a mate so the feeling was extremely familiar, she smelt different and I was aching to touch her.

When I saw her yesterday night, I knew she was my second chance mate, the way my wolf reacted to her, the way I was feeling about her right now when I didn’t feel this way in years about anyone. My mate, Leah, who I picked over Venetta eight years ago cheated on me, I denounced her as my mate but I couldn’t remove her from being the Luna, not until I’ve gotten my second chance mate.

I brought her here for another reason so why was this happening?

Muffled sounds came from her and my attention went there immediately, she was awake, her eyes looking around in a fearful manner, she was in my room, but Ofcourse she knew that.

I reached my hand towards her but she retreated her face like I had a flu she didn’t want to contact, her eyes looking over me in anger and fear and confusion. I proceeded to duck my hand behind her neck to remove the mouth fold that tied her lips although her hands were still tied.

“What the hell is wrong with you, what do you want from me?” She looked around the room again, her face was filled with expressions but the most evident one was hurt. “Why am I back here?”

“I need something from you.” I stated fiercely, folding my arms and relaxing back on the seat.

“You kidnapped me, dammit!” She groaned at me, if her eyes could sprout lasers, I’d be dead by now, burnt.

I turned my head to the corner “Would you have come if I asked nicely?”

“I don’t owe you or your godforsken pack a danm thing, I stopped being part of your park eight years ago.” She tried to release her hands, tugging on the rope that tied her in place. “Maybe you need a screw to your brain to replay those memories.”

“I am still your alpha and you would not talk to me in that way!” I folded my fists, her eyes went to it and back to my face but she didn’t flinch.

“Screw. You.” She stressed the last word like it was going to hurt more if I was stressed.

How much did you change, Venetta?

“My father is sick and we think you’re the only one that can heal him,” I stood up from the chair I sat and paced around the room, her eyes followed mine anxiously. “Let’s make a deal, you heal him, you’d get to go back home.”

Her eyes had a hint of care in them before they went back to default anger. “Like I said before, I have no business with neither your pack nor your father, you should be ashamed coming to me for help, after what you did.”

I took in deep breath and turned to the pictures of our childhood we took together, they were still intact, I didn’t touch or remove any of them. “Do you not feel anything between us?”

Her eyes hitched and her gaze went to the picture too, I wasn’t talking about the picture, I was talking about her being my second chance mate, she was supposed to be able to feel it, to crave me the same way I crave her.

“What do you mean?” She cocked her brow, her shoulders rising up in tension, “The only thing I feel towards you is pure hate, the type that makes me want to burn you to ashes. Let me go or I’ll tell Humans about werewolves.”

“And how well would that end up for your kids?”

Her eyes widened but she comported herself. “You want me to heal your Father? Do you promise to let me go and never show your face in my life again after I do that?”

I placed my hand behind me and crossed my fingers, a gesture we used when we were kids if we were going to break a promise, it meant the promise was not valid. “As long as he is healed, yes.”

She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes before opening it again, “Take me to him.”

VENETTA

Coming back here reminded me of her, Gia, I missed her but I had to put her away when I went to the human world, using wolf bane. My wolf was totally subdued, she was in me somewhere but hidden and so did all the perks that came with being a wolf.

I was 90 percent human now. Did I miss the friendship I shared with Louis? No, would I ever go back to it? No.

“We are here, you can go in.” He opened the door to a small room, his eyes never leaving mine, it has been on me since I got here, or rather, since I was kidnapped here.

I let out a sigh and walked into the room, memories of what Louis and I did in these walls flashed my head, bringing up the hurt I thought I healed from. Whimpering and pain filled the room as I stepped down the small stairs to the main room, he was laying there, Louis’s father, our old alpha and the man I spent most of my years fearing.

There was a crack on the door and when I looked back, Louis was there, staring at me, I rolled my eyes and focused on the man who’s treatment help my freedom. “I wont be able to do much work if you keep hovering around me like that.” I sighed still focused on his father.

“I don’t trust you enough not to kill him when you’re alone with him.”

“Just because you’re a liar and a bad person doesn’t make everyone else bad.” I turned a side of my face to him, the room was dim so I could barely make out what facial expression he had on.

I placed my hand on the man’s forehead and he was indeed burning up and having difficulty with breathing. I didn’t bring my equipments along from the hospital but that was part of the things that made me the best, I didn’t need equipments.

My eyes widened after I was done check all his vital parts, “He has Hepatitis A, this is not good…”

Footsteps appeared beside me, I turned to face Louis, he looked like he wanted to explode. “How bad is it?”

“There’s no specific treatment for it and even if I could get something for him, Hepatitis takes six months to heal, I can only try and reduce it to three but he needs daily treatment for it to work.”

He turned to me, his expression filled with different emotions “You can’t leave till he is fully well.”

My eyes widened on their own accords. “That wasn’t our agreement, what are you saying? You promised to let me ago after i helped him.”

“You called me a liar, I’m just playing the part. If you try to escape, I’ll kill everyone who has ever mattered to you, you have to stay here and tend to him till he is fully healed, we’d provide everything you need.”
