Chapter 34. First Night

She looks at me with her eyes misty and a mixture of different emotions which shows on her vivid beautiful face. I waited for the two she-wolves to take a step farther from us before I sat beside her, inhaling her sweet scent slowly. I was away for only a couple of hours yet it felt like I had missed her presence so much.

"What did those two talk to you about? I hope they don't mess with your thoughts. They like to toy with the emotions of others more importantly if someone piques their interest. And right now you are the most interesting individual in the Cold Mountain pack, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone wants to talk to you or meet you."

There was a cloud in her eyes that faded when she blinked her long lashes a couple of times before she answered me.

"It was a girl talk that doesn't need to be shared with any man. But I do feel a little bit odd because it was about you."
