*JASON RAISER* The scientists tried to mimic Jason's mutations, but couldn't prevail for the longest time. They're only hope was that he could reproduce. They gathered a dozen women who passed all the physical and mental health tests and fertilized their eggs with Jason's sperm. Eight women survived birth, and only two babies lived. Among testing what had happened, they found the two surviving babies shared certain DNA markers the others did not. Through the sequencing they realized to make new hunters they needed very specific women with specific markers. They were only able to successfully inject three fetuses with Jason's virus and it create hunters like him, though to find out not as strong or powerful. This is when Jason came up with the mapping of DNA to allow the hunter genes to go on without inbreeding. "Jason, it's ascension day." Daniel said to his son. He mustered up a smile, the only time he could smile was when seeing his surviving, thri
*BLAIRE* "Oh God Blaire thank God you're back." An older woman gushed hurrying over to her, barely giving a glance to her travel companion. "Yes, I always return Elda." Blaire rolled her eyes and continued to walk. "Blaire! Blaire!" Three little kids screamed running to her excitedly. She knelt down and looked at all of them with a smile. "Did you kill a vampire?" One asked. "Or werewolf?" "A werepire?" The eldest, about seven years old, asked. All of them looked at her with eyes sparkling with excitement. She was their gaurdian, the person they aspired to be. "I killed some vampires. I haven't come across any werepires yet Wes, but you'll be the first one I tell if I ever do." They all gathered around to hug her tightly with excitement until the boom of her father's voice scared them off. "Blaire!" He shouted from their mansion's front steps, as it looked out over the rest of the small family village of hunters. "Yes, c
*CHARLES* TWENTY DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE ASCENSION OF BLAIRE RAISER Blaire was so powerful, even at her young age. She'd learned to walk by four months old, to talk fluently by eight months. She was climbing and jumping on things like the agile little warrior she was by a year and a half. She'd progressed faster than anyone any of the family, of any family, had ever known in hand to hand combat, swordsmanship and archery. She could use throwing knives and combat knives better than just about anyone. By the time she was five she'd grown in to what seemed almost like an adult. She was sure of herself, analytical of the choices she made, quick witted and brave. She stood up for her beliefs even then and all these traits strengthened and solidified within her more and more as she got older. The families respected her as a Raiser, but as she aged, the didn't respect her for her name, they respected her for her abilities. They respected her for the person she was. She could enter a room and
*SEBASTIAN* It was the third day he'd gone to that bar. It was on the outskirts of what would be considered the safer part of the region. It was backing up against the rabid terriories filled with rabid and rogue vampires and lycans. It was a dangerous place to be. And also those villages tended to be shit holes, but this bar was very nice, one of the nicer ones he'd ever been in. There were a few humans in some of the towns that owed him favors, and so he told them to notify him when Blaire was on the move. He'd been informed she'd be traveling there. He spent a few days prior establishing a reputation as 'calm' with the bartender to avoid issues while he observed her, gathering information the best he could. He was expecting his heart to leap hard in his chest and his stomach to twist when she walked into the bar and made eye contact with him. She turned away uncaring, but she of course knew what he was. He knew her and the bartender were talking about him. Which really was agains
*BLAIRE* Blaire had just gotten out of the shower and put on a tank top and black panties before bed. The mission turned out to be much quicker than expected since the vampires stupididly brought themselves to her. She rubs her hands together and touched her finger tips that still seemed to tingle from touching the massive werewolf. She'd never come into contact with an alpha like him. That shock was painful, intense and it freaked her out. She'd never felt that before and wasn't sure what it meant. She turned off the main light in the room and went to the desk to turn that light off, but a burst of the door and it slammed she didn't have a chance to turn around and she was pinned against the desk. She tried to fight, but he was much stronger than she was. Hence why she needed to ascend. Blaire knew exactly who was pinning her down like that wrapping his arms around her tightly. "This isn't a very good idea for you to be doing this." She said calmly, he rele
*BLAIRE* It was an amazing night, but she was admittedly sore. Just as she thought she would be. Even as she lay there in his arms awake the electricity flowed between them. She didn't typically sleep all night with someone, Marlow had been the exception. So waking up in someone's arms was strange, and even more so that it was the very beast she would have to kill. She knew he was aware of who she was that she would be sent to kill him, but he didn't kill her. He had oppurtunity, instead he gave her an Earth shattering orgasm, well multiple, and cuddled with her. As she lay there comfortably in his arms, she remembered the little lycan boy she'd helped escape when she was little. It was him. She knew it. By the intense electrical shock when they touched, and his eyes, he was the little boy. What were the chances? As soon as he stirred she tensed up, he rubbed her thigh. "Relax. I'm not going to kill you." He breathed sleepily against her shoulder.
*SEBASTIAN* Journal Number Fifteen (Entry 48 of 50) June 5th, 2076 That girl, Rebecca, that my son loves so dearly is a wolf. I know it. I can feel it in my bones, but he won't listen to me. He says I'm just jealous that he has someone and I'm all alone. I'm alone because the only woman I ever loved, and will ever love, is dead. No other woman will compare to her, none. It's cruel of him to shove his dead mother, my dead wife in my face as if it was somehow my fault. It wasn't my doing, this virus destroying the world, I'm just trying to fix it all. He is acting like an idiot. I'm fifty-six years old and he just turned twenty-six and he's acting like a spoiled brat now that this woman is around. I keep trying to find a way to convince him that something is off with her, that she is not a human, nor a hunter, but a lycan. He won't listen to me and I fear that she will corrupt him, kill him or maybe stop him from hunting and killing monsters.
SEBASTIAN* He stared at her intently while she read, after a short while she finished it, closed it and handed it back to him without a word. She seemed to be mulling over what she'd read. "You think you imprinted on me... That we are mated?" "I don't think it, I know it. I believe you do too.... Somehow." "I think you're just trying to find a way to keep from killing you." He laughed at that and shook his head. "You know damn well if I was trying to avoid you killing me I'd of just killed you already." She shook her head. "I can't kill you. I wanted you to read all that because that means you can't kill me...unless we want to die, we can't kill each other." "We fucked. It was great too, but that doesn't mean we are mated or whatever." "No, we fucked because we couldn't control ourselves...We couldn't stay away from each other. I especially you. You can't tell me there wasn't a part of you that actually missed me the moment we separated. Even if you don't openly acknowledge it t
