Chapter fifty-two: The ambush

The hours passed very slowly for Dan and his family. He wondered if those detectives considered what he had told them. It was already getting dark and he wanted to be sure if they would go after Zander or not, so he asked his father to send someone just as an observer.

They decided to send Jerome, who would be placed in a strategic position away from the police, if they went, and from the vampires, and would be making continuous reports to them with his cell phone.
