Erin Locheart's POVI subtly searched the castle for Kai but there was no sign of him so I headed downtown and buy some ingredients. I wasn't sure when Kai was going to return but I figured he misses homecooked meals so it wouldn't hurt to make him one.I'm not the best at cooking but I'm sure I can learn. Erin Lockheart's POV I watched as the sun sets down the horizon and the loud howls outside started to echo. All the humans have evacuated at the nearby town that is prohibited to werewolves but I was inside here, terrified of my own fate,. I am a werewolf too, I know, but right now, I'm as vulnerable as a human. I am unable to transform after all and Kai is locked up in his room. I'm on my own as I prepared for the worst. Suddenly, I heard some rustling outside. I didn't take make a sound but the sound of scratching became too violent and I could see a couple of werewolves outside the castle howling and prying the barricade open. I grabbed Kai's sword and wielded it. It was heavier than I could handle but I had no choice. Erin Lockheart's POV I woke up from a silly dream. It was... It felt so real. I dreamt of Kai saying he loves me and now, I couldn't keep my heart still. As I opened my eyes, ther first thing I saw was Kai sleeping beside me. My eyes widened from surprised and I immediately pulled back until I rolled down the bed. I groaned sharply as I hit the floor and saw my bruises, some were almost healed. The loud thud woke Kai up and he stared at me. He didn't say anything but he stared at me. I was loss for words so I looked away and stuttered, "What are you doing here? Why are you in my room?" He lifted the blanket exposing his bare skin and walked towards me. Erin Lockheart's POV Later that day, I fitted the dresses I would be wearing at the wedding, we are to wear our kingdom's colors with jewelries harvested from our land as well and I wear them with pride. I reminded myself that this is my home now and despite being an empress by contract, I have to do my duty to my people. I took a deep breathe as the thought sinks in. Only a hours later, I would see Cadmus and Luna again. This time, following their original plot, they are together. I had no idea what I would feel. Would it be envy? Happiness? Betrayal? Who knows. Kai told me about the text Zenn was able to find during his hunt. My emotions would be the trigger to set my power off. I have to be cautious that I won't hurt any innocent people.
