Chapter Twenty Seven

Kai Griffin's POV

My conversation with my spirit wolf was cut short as Zenn hurriedly entered the castle. By the look of Zenn's face, I couldn't really tell whether I would be glad to stop the nagging or would rather have the nagging than hear the bad news Zenn brings.

Zenn was catching his breath as he walked towards me. He said, "A messenger arrived."

"And?"

"It's from Lunaria."

I immediately headed outside and saw Lunaria's banners hanging from a carriage. The messenger was inside with a couple guards. Even from where I was at, I could tell that the messenger was some nobleman with high status. Cadmus purposely sent someone of his status to make sure that if I did try to kill or imprison this man, I would lose many supporters. Well played.

I sighed deeply and asked, "What news did he bring?"

Zenn gave me a letter with Lunaria's seal and replied, "He wouldn't say anything but he brought you this. As soon as I got it, I came here so I don't know what it's all about."
