Aubrey's POV

" And that was the end of the bear...."

I planted a kiss on their heads, covered their tiny bodies with a quilt, and shut the door of the kids' room I felt very lonely, the kids were sleeping and Declan was nowhere to be found. Was he going to leave me here like this because of something that wasn't serious?

We agreed that I take the children to the pack house since they didn't want me to go and I couldn't stay in Meg's house till she was discharged.

My phone buzzed later at night and I looked up from the book I was reading. It was Meg calling and I picked up immediately.

" Hello, Ellie." I heard the whoosh of air, and I looked at the time, it was past ten, " Where are you, Ellie?" I asked her.

" I'm out with Rob." She replied and my eyes widened. " Is my father home?" She asked me.

" No, what are you doing with him by this time? Your father is going to have a fit if he finds out."

" He won't because you will help me."

" No, I won't be a party to this. Come back
