Chapter Twenty Three
Emma sounded excited as she shared her trip and the experience of Paris during their ride. It was as if she left a jacket of bad mood in the restaurant because her expression changed the moment she sat behind the wheel. When they got to a traffic light she reached out from under the car front passenger seat she pulled a bag and in it she took out two wrapped gifts for each of the girls and she handed Connie hers while she tossed the bag to the back seat.
Connie did not know what to make of it for the disappointment she was feeling was great. Who could blame them after seeing her nauseous because of food, she thought, maybe she would have felt the same way if she was in their shoes but the only difference was that she would ask before jumping to conclusion.
