I was barely doing any of the works that were offered to me, as they were done in pairs. I allowed my other half to handle them. The poor man didn’t complain much as well. I made sure he didn’t.

“I have been looking all over for you,” I said, approaching Raghul, who was busy tending to his assigned place.

“Well, you haven’t been looking well enough,” Raghul replied as he lifted a sack and placed it over his shoulders.

“I have been meaning to tell you something,” I said, bringing me to a glowered stare.

“What is it?” Raghul offered a tired tone, like he knew where I might be heading with this.

“I came here all excited to tell you some good news. I don’t want you to have that tone with me; it makes me feel like you belittle me. Don’t forget, I am who you serve, not her.” I responded, feeling saddened by what Raghul was reducing me to. We used to be so close, but now he is more distant than ever, and I have become worried over this.
