Fifty

Melody's POV:

The wind whipped my hair across my face as I walked down the hill towards the town. I should've at least gotten a jacket because these cold winds weren't helping at all.

You didn't have time before. You don't have it now either.

If anybody realizes that I'm missing back at the house, I'm so going to be trapped. Maybe even grounded. But being grounded didn't sound that bad comparing to what I had in mind. If my plan works out, maybe being grounded would be the least of my worries.

I managed to reach the busy streets. People were busy like always even though strong winds were blowing most of their things. I went inside the flower shop, grateful for the change of environment.

A chubby woman was busy packing some white tulips into a box. When she saw me, her expression turned from concentration to shock and back to a calm expression.

I had no idea people could change their faces this quickly.

"Melody, dear." She greeted though I'm sure I heard a sort of edge in her voice.
