"You could catch a cold," he was pulling his jacket off with his free hand and handing it to me. "Take it."

"I'm already wet, I'll just soak it regardless." I sighed.

"Where are you headed?" He asked.

"Home but the bus isn't here snd I'm just trying to find somewhere warm to wait by. I wanted to ask him why he was here or what he was doing but I decided against it, not wanting to come off as too inquisitive.

"I can take you to my place." It seemed he had figured I did not want him knowing where I stayed. On the one hand, it was a good idea to get me warm and out of this hell of a place but on the other hand, I was trying to heal from him not add salt to my wounds.

He took my hand before I could respond, "You're coming with me, you're not going to fall sick under my watch." If only he knew what holding my hand was doing to my body, he would refrain from so doing.

I didn't bother to argue, I just went with him, craving for warmth m
