It wasn't a dream when I woke up tge next day.

Frank planted a gentle kiss on my forehead and it felt like the past two months had not even happened. It was when my phone beeped where it was on the bed that I snapped to my feet.

It was Ed.

"Where on earth are you?" He called.

"Good that you care now, even though I was literally gone the whole night." I rolled my eyes.

"I tried to call you but it wouldn't connect. I was worried but glad to hear that you're fine." He said and clicked his tongue.

"I'll be home in the matter of a few minutes, make breakfast for me." I called into the phone and then hung up.

"Is that a new boyfriend?" Frank said from where he was sitting beside me.

"Maybe," I decided to tease him, "why would you care?"

"I don't." He shrugged one shoulder, "we are nothing but friends with benefits, at this point, we are not even friends. Just with benefits."
