60 - The rogue's farewell

I was feeling very complete now. Something inside me seemed to have been liberated. I mean, I felt so good and happy knowing that I would finally be a father.

I mean, Malia and I had gone through such a difficult time, and having another child now wasn't in our plans. I think, deep down, we were afraid to bring up the subject again and end up hurt.

Malia held onto me, pressing me against her waist as we stood by the small stage that had been set up in the same place for years. Alpha King Arthur was standing there, looking at everyone with those icy eyes that only he seemed to have.

When I was a child, I used to be very afraid of him. As I grew up, I came to respect him. Even at almost eighty years old, he still had the appearance of a forty-year-old man due to his slowed aging.
