For some reason, I couldn't feel any pain or remorse for her. I couldn't help but feel a deep disgust for the woman who screamed and struggled while being dragged by two warriors to the place where she would finally be killed.

I know I should be crying, but I can't. Not with her staring at me with those eyes. Not when I know she would kill my mate without a second thought and without shedding a single tear if she were in my place.
