Looking for Freda

Hardin's POV

“Freda, come back here,” I said in a loud tone, but she did not respond as she walked out of the room. I was quite surprised that I was not angry with her for walking out on me as I heaved a sigh, and lay on the bed. I felt uneasy thinking about it and rolled to the other side of the bed trying to force myself to sleep, but each time I tried to close my eyes, all I saw was Freda. I opened my eyes abruptly and decided to go and check on her in her room.

I walked slowly out of my room and headed for her room. As I approached her room, I heard chatters coming from Shelby's room, and I knew that was why she came into my room in that manner. In no time, I was in front of Freda's door and I knocked, thinking that she had locked the door from the inside. I turned the doorknob and surprisingly, the door opened, and I walked into the room but found the room empty. A thought struck my mind to check the bathroom and I walked towards the bathroom, knocking on the door before opening
