Chapter 18

ARIA's perspective

I woke up to find Neon lying next to me on the bed, I thought I was going to wake up alone like it has always been when I was sick but then, I found someone lying next to me.

I lifted my hand and touched his face, my fingertips along the features of his face, his nose, and then his lips, my finger grazed on the lower part, and I remembered the kiss we shared. I smiled and touched my lips.

I saw the towel and bowl on the table, I wondered what time it was and how long I had lay there.

I was startled when he held my hand, brought it to his lips, and placed a kiss on it.

“How are you feeling?” He asked and lifted himself, he sat on the bed with his head on the headboard and pulled me into his arms.

“Should I call the pack doctor to come back?” His eyes looked tired.

I shook my head at him.

I felt better.

“How long have I been sick?”

“A day.” He stroked my hair with his long fingers.

I exhaled deeply and lay my head against his chest.

“You made me worry about you, Aria.
