We later found out that when I took David, he was asked to accompany Lexi in here, so once Lexi drove back with him, he would take them directly to Crescent Moon. It was a blessing in disguise that I didn’t allow Randall to take her back to Bernice City, or they would just fall exactly into Gray’s trap. I knew it would only be a matter of time before she could match up with Harlene, the top female warrior in our pack and the one handling her training. Because it seemed even if she wasn’t fully trained all her life, she was a naturally born skilled fighter.
