Chapter Sixty-Four

"You look nervous," Hayden whispered.

"No, I don't. Why will I be nervous about your father, My Alpha?"

He scoffed, "Your Alpha is me, not my father. And don't be nervous; anyone that wants to get to you will have to go through me, but I doubt that the reason he called us is to cause trouble."

I nodded, but that did not stop me from thinking about it, wondering why he invited us to his house and why he kept looking at my stomach when I was coming with Hayden.

"We did not tell Josh and Peter that we had gone home. Do you think they will still be there waiting for us?"

He shook his head. "I mind-linked them to take some hours off, and Josh was happy about it."

I smiled. "He should be; his mother is there, so he gets to go home with her."

The elevator stopped, the door opened, and then we got out. There was no guard in front of his door, and when Hayden pulled at the handle, it turned, and the door was open.

"He has no guard, and his door is not locked," I whispered to Hayden.
