‘What are you doing?’

Artemis tried to stop her,

‘Katya no we must go back to our mate’

She ignored her Wolf and ran back to her cave and collapsed it was quiet and peaceful in the cave and her senses told her she was safe. It did not take her long to drift into an exhausted sleep and as she did so the defences she had placed in her mind dropped.

That was how the Military captured her, she had not learned how to keep her defences up while she slept so much had happened in those few short months it was one of the many things Lucas was yet to teach her. She was in a safe place until she was betrayed by one of Damon’s Rogues, when the others in his Pack had surrendered and joined the Sun & Moon Pack he had slipped away only to be caught by the Military. He had been tortured mercilessly until he agreed to work for the humans and now they used him to track lone Wolves.
