It was not really a war and not many actual battles took place, the humans had arrogantly believed that they were entitled to win because they outnumbered the Immortals by at least five to one. They were given a harsh lesson on how far down the food chain they were, some of them did manage to escape on secretly designed spaceships that took the very top scientists, medical experts and other assorted professionals to start a new life elsewhere.
