Chapter 36: Keeping the Truth

I am lying on the bed, watching TV as my body takes its time to heal.

I don’t know how long it has been since I’ve fully rested like this, wasting away time, doing nothing.

I’ve never been this unproductive in my whole life.

Because of my injury, I was required to have a full bed rest. I couldn’t do anything but watch tv, scroll down my phone and stay on bed.

Pericles was strict on making sure that I do anything else but work. Besides, I really couldn’t get out of bed even if I wanted to. Small movements causes sharp pain in my wound. I really have no choice but to stay on bed until my wound heals enough for me to move around.

The doctor said that my wound wouldn’t have grown this serious if I didn’t pushed my body too much. If I didn’t forced myself to go to that engagement party, my body wouldn’t have to suffer so much damage.
