.........Mykel's pov.......
The light reflected into the room and shun directly on the duvet which I used to cover up sleeping Rissa. I can't believe she cried herself to sleep last night.
Well...it's not on me. I did all I could to make her calm but she sobbed quietly through out the night.
Lucky enough, the pillow wasn't terribly soaked with her tears because she laid on top of me, all through with her head on my chest.
But I'm glad she still slept well.
Her eyes flickered open and she held me tighter like she thought I had left.
I just wish I could fast forward this hurtful moments till I'm finally in Korea. Safe from the heartbreak. I'll start a whole new life.
The more I stayed in America, the more I remembered the bad things I've been through at the juvenile center.
I'm sure I never want to go back there.
Rissa's hands drew slowly f
........Rissa's pov.......I jumped out of the bed the moment i heard the sound of mom's car driving into the compound. She came home quite early than usual...I avoided Mykel's gaze as I left the room. It's not like he's my whole world or anything. I was doing just fine before he came along.I can't let him ruin me. All I need to do is to let him go and move on with my stupid life.Hopefully, I can be able to get away from all this.I got to my room and took a quick bath. That's when it struck me - my mom's mother is still alive. What am I saying?? She has always been alive and she's doing just fine at Queens where she owns a big house with gardens, pools and everything a typical teenager could ever want.Maybe it's high time I swallowed my pride and go live with her like she have always wanted.I didn't want to go there because it's more like a less cl
.........Mrs Forbes......"The surgery was successful and your son is now conscious but would need a little time before he would be able to talk or move" The doctor said after he stepped out from the theater.Luckily, my husband made it and was here with me."Thank you so much, doctor! This is good news" I said exuberantly."Yeah, it is. You will be able to see him in an hour, please excuse me" He said before leaving."I always knew Germany would help us with the best doctor for this!" I stated enthusiastically."Yeah, you were right. I'm glad our son is okay. He doesn't deserve any of this. I think it's one of my haters that sent those thugs. The police are doing all they can to find them too" He replied and I sighed."Enough trouble for one day" I stated in a low voice. .........Rissa's pov......
........(2 years later)....... ......Rissa's pov......The rain was too much. Too windy and heavy. Well, luckily for me, I was safe inside the room with grandma.A movie was going on and we had ourselves covered under the blanket each holding a bowl of popcorn. Pineapple - all big and grown up laid next to me partly keeping me warm. This was how grandma and I spent the rainy nights. It's much better than hiding In a dark room doing nothing but praying that the rain seizes soon."Ha! I told you they would fall in love...!!" Grandma exclaimed and I took my eyes to the television screen. The male lead was kissing the female lead passionately. That's too soon and quite expected."Oh, come on. A kiss doesn't guarantee true love and besides, love doesn't exist. I don't believe in It so please can we switch to a fashion show or wrestling. Anyone would b
.......Mykel's pov....I stepped into the office and met Mr Frosh sitting on his table comfortable. He's not really the usual kind of boss you'd meet daily. He's very weird and I suspect he has mental issues. This time, he wasn't drinking vodka or smoking a cigarette - He's drinking water.Which is also strange."Good evening" I greeted approaching him."I heard you killed an as.shole that was on the run. Do you know how much pain I wanted him to go through before dying???" He questioned giving me a scalding look."I'm not to blame. It's the incompetent guards you kept incharge of him. I told you that I want peace and whoever stains that gets a bullet for it..." I replied daringly. He cracked and shook his head negatively."Fine. I'll let this drop. I'm sure the devil's in hell by now. I learned the mission was a success. Luckily, you stuck to m
........Rissa's pov......"What do you think, grandma?" I asked turning around with the new dress on me.It has beautiful blue designs that went around the whole thing - I'd sure call it a master piece! And the fact that it's my favorite color too."Oh my God! It's wonderful, sweetheart. You have good eyes just like your mother. Always buying breathtaking clothes" She ranted boisterously.I chuckled and turned around again."You don't think it's exposing my chest area, right?" I asked curious about how the dress showed a bit of my bosoms."No...no...no! It's perfect, Rissa" She hushed feeling the fabric."Alright. I just don't want people to stare too much. You know I dislike being the center of attraction sometimes" I pointed out and she rolled her eyes."I don't think there's anything wrong with that, dear. Besides, it's y
(Graduation Day) ~~~~~Early Morning~~~~~ .......Alex's pov......Austin, Lucas and me approached the beautiful cool jet parked at a distance from the airport. It's so neat that I wondered if it's been cleaned every morning.Lucas has been hanging out a lot with Austin and I think they are now close friends. I also wondered why he didn't bring them along.Oh...it must be because he doesn't want to remind Rissa about the epic disgrace that made her leave our school. In all - I still feel jittery and feeble that I was going to Queens with Luc.He seemed so relaxed around me like we've been friends for ages while I'm standing a feet apart from him shaking like I was catching a cold.We finally got close enough and Austin was the first to climb in with the help of a huge man in black. He stretched out
..........Rissa's pov..........The car stopped at the school parking lot and we sat for a while observing the airy environment.Lot's of other flashy cars were staged around and new faces occupied the sphere.I just feel great about today. My phone started ringing and I picked it up - mom's calling."Rissa, I'm sorry for bringing in this bad news to you so early in the morning but something outrageous just happened. Two of your fathers companies was bombed to the ground! Luckily, before any staff could come to the office. No one was hurt but your father just lost more than three hundred billion dollars. Oh God! I'm freaking out..." She cried from the other side of the phone.I gawked gazing at grandma."Relax, mom. Who could do such a thing??" I asked irritably."I honestly don't know. Things are in chaos over here. I'm sorry dear. I don'
..........Rissa's pov........In the cold night, my heart raced as things went by, cars, houses, people. A wish was enough to stop the holes being created in my heart. Mykel was right beside me but it still felt so far away..It's like standing next to a riff. The taxi stopped us before grandma's gates and we came out with drunk Alex. She couldn't even get on her feet.I didn't know she reacted this way to alcohol. At least, Lucas was doing a good job holding her.I reached into my purse to get some money so I could the taxi driver for the ride. But, Lucas had already brought out some cash and so did Mykel...Geez!!!"Don't worry, I'll...I'll handle it" I stated but Lucas scoffed."That's nonsense. Today was your graduation day - save it for college" He said giving the taxi man the money.Mykel also stretched his hand gave it to the man who
