.........Alex's pov........
My eyes fluttered open due to the pecking noise I heard on the window glass. I left the bed moving feebly to it.
Most times, I get sensitive while sleeping so I can't go back to bed with so much pecking going on.
I pulled the window handles and found a little white bird there with a wrapped note attached to it.
Aww! So cute and lovely.
I carefully slipped out the note and read through it. This is from Lucas...
A good morning message.
I smiled.
He's got a surprise for me too.
What in the world could Lucas possibly give me in order for me to like him back?

He dropped the bottle on the table and took slow steps towards me.
"Good morning. I don't know about you but I...I couldn't sleep" He mumbled leaning against the table.

My hands and dress was covered In blood and mom kept dragging me away while I tried holding on persistently.They're taking him away. To the emergency room of course but I still felt like a part of me was been ripped off despite my protests.He wasn't breathing! He's really in a bad condition and we are yet to get through with him" He replied and I sucked in some air.He'll be fine, I'm sure."Although, I fear he won't make it, my dear" He added and my eyes flared in astonishment."Why do you say such??" He was awake, weak eyes by at least he was breathing and all bandaged.A tear slid from my cheek as he dropped his head sideways to we my face.I skimmed past the nurse and ran to him. With trembling arms and wobbly knees. I held his hand pathetically staring at him."They told me you wouldn't make it and that you had given up. I knew it's not possible..."
