My Mykel is alive. He was awake, weak eyes by at least he was breathing and all bandaged.
A tear slid from my cheek as he dropped his head sideways to we my face.
I skimmed past the nurse and ran to him. With trembling arms and wobbly knees. I held his hand pathetically staring at him.
"They told me you wouldn't make it and that you had given up. I knew it's not possible..." I said exuberantly.
He stared at me blankly like he couldn't understand what I had been saying.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Have you lost your memory??" I asked wide eyed and he chuckled.
"Rissa...I was shot on my chest not my head" He winced and I smiled warmly at him.
The three nurses clustered behind me gazing at us. Mom and dad were at the door watching.
